Hid types of photographs are usually taking place in small towns in america but are dramatic and cinematic. They often feature disturbing events. He uses a lot of lighting in his photographs, with using film production. He calls it American realistic landscape photography.

This photo was taken by Gregory Crewdson, it is an untitled photo from Crewdson's series Beneath the Roses from 2003 to 2005. The Photograph is interesting as it is showing the same person in 4 different ways. the photograph s also showing the clothes thrown on the floor and the gloomy conditions of the room. This is showing the sort of state that she lives in.

This photograph was taken by Gregory Crewdson. it is also an untitled contemporary photograph. The photograph is quite unusual as everything that is going on you do not see every day. I like how it is quite dark and the light shines from the right onto the pregnant woman. When you look at it you are trying to figure out what is going on as it is unclear from the first time you see it.

This is another untitled photograph by Gregory Crewdson. This is in the sanctuary series and was taken in 2009. It was framed at 28 and a half by 35 and a quarter inches. It is a pigment inkjet print. The photograph has a ominous feel to it. The doors wide open gives the idea that the place is abandond or forgotten. I like the black and white feel to the photograph, i think it adds to the abandond look. The sanctuary series looks quite different to the previous series of photographs that he directed.
